Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof
named Charlotte Dorsey aged about twenty seven
years about five feet one and three quarter inches
high dark Complexion has a small scar near
the corner of the right eye is one of the issue of
Negro Minty manumitted by Jno Chew Thomas by
deed dated the third day of February Eighteen hundred
and ten to be free at the age of twenty five and
that she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 28th day of april 1840

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Harry Dorsey aged about twenty nine years about
five feet ten inches high dark complexion has a large
scar on her breast is one of the issue of negro Minty
manumitted by John Chew Thomas by deed dated the
third day of February Eighteen hundred and ten
to be free at the age of twenty Eight years and
that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 28th day of April 1840

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Peter
Dorsey aged about Eighteen years about five feet Eleven
and a half inches high black complexion has two small
scars near the left eye was free born and that he
was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 28th day of april 1840
