Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1831-1844

hereof named Harry General aged about
thirty five years about five feet Eight and
a quarter inches hight dark Complexion
has a small scar on the back of the left
hand is one of the persons manumitted
by Joseph Evans by deed dated the
twenty second day of august Eighteen
hundred and seventeen and that
he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 1st day of august 1838


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof named Agnes Queen aged about nineteen
years about five feet one half Inch high
brown Complexion has no perceptible mark
was free born, and that she was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 4 day of august 1838


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the Bearer
hereof named Robert Stevens aged about twenty
four years about five feet six Inches high
black Complexion has a large scar on the top of the
left foot and a small one on the back of the
right hand was free born and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 7th day of August 1838
