56 was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 24th day of May 1814 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc. I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named William Madison aged about twenty five years about five feet ten and an half inches high of a dark complexion with a scar across the fore finger and thumb of the right hand and a large scar upon the left wrist was free born and that the said negro man William Madison was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 24th day of May 1815. State of Maryland Anne Arundel County sc I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Benjamin Brown about five feet seven Inches high aged about twenty one years of a brown complexion with a small scar over the left eye is the same person who recovered his freedom at September Term 1813 by Petition in Anne Arundel County Court against Samuel maccubbin and that the said Benjamin Brown was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 4th day of June 1815 Rend in folio 209 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc. I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Thomas Harwood of a dark complexion aged about thirty one years about five feet four |
