Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

five feet seven and an half inches high, black
complexion, has a small scar near the left Eye
was free born, and that he was raised in the
County aforesaid
    Issued the 9th day of May 1831


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof named John Brown aged about twenty
two years about five feet five and an half inches
high, black complexion has a small scar over
the left Eye was free born and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 23rd day of July May 1831



    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named James Gaither aged about thirty two
years about five feet eight inches high, brown
complexion, has a Small scar on the left cheek
bone, was free born and that he was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 23rd day of May 1831


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:
             I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court, do hereby certify, that it hath been
                                                                proved
