Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

Arundel County Court do hereby Certify, that it
hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof named John Kent aged about fifteen
years about five feet one inch high, black
complexion has no perceptible mark was free
born and that she was raised in the county
aforesaid
    Issued the 3d day of March 1831



    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof named John Harrison aged about twenty
five years about five feet three Inches high
black Complexion has no perceptible mark
is one of the persons manumitted by Stephen
Beard by deed dated the twenty sixth day of
January in the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred and twenty, and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 12th day of march 1831



    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit:
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Ben Bowles aged about Twenty six years, about five
feet five inches and three quarters inches high,
black complexion, has a scar on the left side of the
under lip and one on the neck was free born, and
that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 30th day of March 1831
