Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit   I
            William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath
been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof named James Richardson aged about
thirty five about five feet five inches high
dark Complexion as a scar on the left right cheek
and one near the corner of the right eye was
free born and that he was raised in the
County aforesaid
    Issued the 6th day of January 1831


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named John Green aged about twenty five years
about five feet seven and an half inches high
black complexion has her face marked by the
small Pox was free born and that he was raised
in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 13th day of January 1831


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green, Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court Do hereby Certify That it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named John
Hansen aged about Twenty years about five feet
Eight Inches high yellow Complexion has a scar on
the third finger of the left hand was free born and
that he was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 28th day of February 1831


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
             I William S Green Clerk of Anne
                                                          Arundel
