Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Ann Carroll aged about twenty seven years about four
feet Eleven and an half Inches high light complexion,
has a large scar on the right arm is the identical person
manumitted by Rachel Deale by Deed dated the seventh
day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and nineteen and that she was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 13th day of October 1829


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel County
Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Kizzey Queen
aged about forty years about five feet eleven and a half
inches high dark complexion has a small scar near the
right nostril was free born, and that she was raised in the
county aforesaid
    Issued the 22nd day of October 1829


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel county
court do hereby Certify, that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Nelly Chew
aged about thirty six years about five feet one half
inch high dark complexion has a small scar on the
left arm is one of the persons manumitted by Richard
Brown Junior by deed dated the Twentieth day of January
