Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

do hereby Certify that it hath been proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Thornton F Stewart aged about twenty seven
years about five feet nine and and an
half Inches high bright Complexion has a
small scar upon the right Cheek bone is one
of the persons manumitted by Ann Stewart
by deed dated the second day of march in the
year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and Eighty, and that he was raised in the
County aforesaid
    Issued the 11th day of February 1828


    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Henny Boston aged about twenty six years
about five feet one Inch high dark Complexion
has a small scar over the right eye and one on
the back of the right hand was free born and
that she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 1st day of march 1828


    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court Do hereby Certify that it
hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer
hereof named Lyetia Winters aged about twenty
two years about five feet seven and an half
Inches high black Complexion has two scars on the
right side of her face and one under the left eye
was free born, and that she was raised in
the County aforesaid
    Issued the 3d day of march 1828
