Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

hereby Certify, that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Basil Smith
aged about forty two years about five feet Eight
Inches high, Dark Complexion has a scar upon the
left foot is one of the persons manumitted by
Sarah Ann Hathirty by deed dated the tenth day
of September in the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred and nineteen, and that he was
raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 21st day of January 1828


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do hereby Certify, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Gabriel Queen aged about twenty one
years about five feet Eight and one half
Inches high black Complexion has a scar
on the back of the right hand was free born
and that he was raised in the County
aforesaid
    Issued the 31st day of January 1828


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I William S Green Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court Do hereby Certify, that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof
named Henry Crowner aged about Eighteen years
about five feet seven and an half Inches high
dark Complexion has a small mole on the upper
lip was free born and that he was raised in the
County aforesaid
        Issued the 2d day of February 1828


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit   I William S
Green Clerk of Anne Arundel County Court do
