Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

of the persons manumitted by Mary Meriweather by
Deed dated the Eleventh day of November in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eleven and
that she was raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 17th day of October 1825


Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit.  I hereby Certify
to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named
Hannah aged about thirty five years about five feet two
Inches high dark Complexion a small scar near the
corner of the left eye is one of the persons manumitted by
William Hosgood by Deed dated the sixth day of April
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
twenty and that she was raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 17th day of October 1825


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it doth
or may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named Matilda
Davis aged about sixteen years about five
feet one Inch high bright Complexion a small
scar near the Corner of the right eye was
free born and raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 6th day of November 1825

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or
may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Rachel Hinsman aged about twenty Eight
                                                        years )
