by deed dated the twenty third day of September in the year Eighteen hundred and five that his freedom Commenced on the twenty sixth day of march Eighteen hundred and sixteen and that he was raised in Prince Georges County Issued the 12th day of February 1822 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Frank Howard aged about Forty Eight years about five feet five and an half Inches high Dark Complexion a scar upon the inside of the left arm above the Elbow is the Identical person manumitted by John Franklin by deed dated the twenty sixth day of march in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and twenty two, and that he was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 26 day of march 1822 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may Concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Maria aged about forty four years about five feet one Inch high dark Complexion a small scar in the forehead is the Identical person manumitted by James Williams by deed dated the twenty third day of June eighteen hundred and twenty one, and that she was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 16th April 1822 |
