105 by deed dated the eleventh day of August in the year seventeen hundred and ninety that his freedom commenced on the twenty eighth day of April eighteen hundred and one and that the said negro man Phill was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 12th day of September 1817 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Charles aged about thirty four years about five feet nine inches high of a black complexion and his nose marked by the small pox is the same person manumitted by Francis Cromwell by deed dated the twenty third day of August one thousand seven hundred and ninety two that his freedom commenced on the twelfth day of September one thousand eight hundred and sixteen and that the said negro man Charles was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 30th day of September 1817 State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named James Winters aged about twenty one years about five feet ten Inches high black Complexion and has lost the third finger of the left hand, was free born and that the said James Winters was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 23d day of October 1817 |
