                            In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand
                            and affixed the seal of my Office this sixth
        (Seal)           day of July in the year of our Lord Eighteen
                            hundred and Thirty
                            Thomas T Simmons Reg Wills A. A. Coty


I Thomas T Simmons Register of wills for Anne Arundel County
do hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and
Testament of Hester Hood late of the County aforesaid deceased
that she did by her said Will Manumit Liberate and set free a
Negro man by the name of Basil and it being proved to my satisfaction
that he is the identical person as freed by said Will
I do certify that he is in height five feet Eleven and a quarter
inches is about the age of Thirty five Black Complexion and
was freed by the last Will and Testament of the said Hester
Hood on the sixth day of April Eighteen hundred and
Twenty six was raised in Anne Arundel County and has
a scar on the left side of his face
                    In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand
                                        and affixed the seal of my office
                    (Seal)           this fourteenth day of July in the year
                                        of our Lord Eighteen hundred and
                                       Thirty

I Thomas T Simmons Register of wills for Anne Arundel County do
hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last Will and Testament
of Jeremiah Chase late of the County aforesaid deceased that he did by his
said will Manumit Liberate and Set Free a negro man by the name of Moses
and it being proved to my satisfaction that he is the Identical person as freed by said
Will I do certify that he is in height five feet six inches is about the age of
thirty six years bright complexion and was freed by the last Will and Testament
of the said Jeremiah Chase on the twenty sixth day of December Eighteen
hundred and twenty three was raised in Anne Arundel County and has a scar on
the left cheek near the Ear
        In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed
                                    the seal of my office this 28.th day of July in the
                (Seal)           year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Thirty
                                       Thomas T. Simmons Reg Wills A. A. C.
