I Thomas H Hall Register of wills for Anne Arundel
County Do hereby Certify that and attest that it appears
from the last will and testament of Joshua Powell late of the county
aforesaid deceased that he did by his said will manumit liberate and
set free a Negro man by the name of Sam and it being proved to
my satisfaction that he is the identical person as freed by said will
I do certify that he is in height Five feet six inches and a quarter is
about the age of twenty one years dark complexion and was freed
by the last will and testament of the said Joshua Powell on the twenty
third day of April eighteen hundred and ten was raised in Anne Arundel
county and has no perceivable mark
In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the seal
of my office this first day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen
hundred and twenty eight

late of the County aforesaid Deceased that She Did by her
said will Manumit Liberate and set free a Negro Man
by the Name of Jerry and it being proved to my satisfaction
that he is the Identical person as freed by said will I
do Certify that he is in height five feet seven Inches
is about the age of twenty six years Dark Complexion
and was freed by the last will and Testament of the
said Mary Robosson Dated on the Eighth day of December
eighteen hundred and ten Eight was raised in Anne
Arundel County and has a scar on his right Thum
In Testimony whereof I ^have^ hereto set my hand and
                    affixed the seal of my office this 8th
                           Day of April in the year of our Lord
                    Eighteen hundred and twenty eight
