I Thomas H Hall Register of wills for Anne Arundel County
do hereby Certify and attest that it appears from the last will and
testament of Brice T G Washington late of the County aforesaid
deceased that he did by his said will manumit Liberate and set free
a negro man by the name of Samuel Dorsey and it being proved to
my satisfaction that he is the Identical person as freed by said will
I do Certify that he is in height five feet six and a quarter inches is about
the age of thirty four years Dark Complexion and was freed by the
last will and testament of the said Brice T G Washington ^dated^ on the
20th day of April 1826 was raised in Anne Arundel County and has
no perceptible mark ^a scar over his left eye one on the Joint of his forefinger on the left hand and one between
                                                                               his thumb and forefinger on the left hand
    In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed the
                                   seal of my office this 5th day of February in
                                   the year of our Lord 1828

will and Testament of Samuel Gardener late of the County
aforesaid Deceased that  he did by his said will Manumit
Liberate and set free a Negro man by the name of Soloman
and it being proved to my satisfaction that he is
the Identical person as freed by the said will I Do Certify
that he is in height six feet and a half an inch is about
the age of Forty four years Dark Complexion and was
freed by the last will and Testament of the said Samuel
Gardener Dated on the 17th Day of September 1819 was
raised in Anne Arundel County has a scar over
the right eye and one on her left Thum
    In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and
                affixed the seal of my office this 9th Day of
                Feb. in the year of our Lord 1828
