I Thomas H. Hall Register of wills for Anne Arundel
County Do hereby Certify and attest that it appears from
the last will and Testament of Col Rezin Hammond late of
the County aforesaid Deceased that he did by his said will
Manumit Liberate and set free a Negroe Man by the name
of Richard Brooks and set free a Negroe Man by the name
of Richard Brooks and it being proved to my satisfaction
that he is the Identical person as freed by said will I
Do Certify that he is in hight five feet nine Inches
is about the age of twenty two years bright mulatto and
was freed by the last will and Testament of the said Col.
Rezin Hammond Dated on the Tenth Day of July Eighteen
hundred and Eight was Raised in Anne Arundel County
has a Scar on his Chin and a Scar on his Cheek
       In Testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand
                   and affixed the Seal of my office this
                   sixteenth Day of June in the year of
                   our Lord Eighteen hundred and twenty four

    I Thomas H Hall Register of Wills for Anne Arundel County
Do hereby Certify that it appears from the last Will and Testament
of Susanna Burgess late of Anne Arundel County Deceased
that she Did by her last will and Testament Liberate and and set free
a Negroe boy by the name of Joseph Burgess and it being
proved to my satisfaction that he is the Identical person as
freed by said will I do Certify that he is in height five feet
six and a half Inches is about the age of twenty six years Dark
Complexion was Raised in Anne Arundel County and
has no perceivable Mark
In Testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and
                affix the Seal of my office this 15th Day of
                July in the year of our Lord 1824
