William Phelps
                            No 230

I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do certify that it has
been proven to my satisfaction that
the Bearer hereof named William
Phelps about five feet five and a
half inches in height of Brown complexion
aged about thirty two years
was manumitted by William Brewer
on the 23.rd day of Febry 1827 and raised in
the County aforesaid
Issued the 24.th Dec 1847








Peter Johnson
                            No 231

I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do certify
that it has been proven to my
satisfaction that the Bearer hereof
named Peter Johnson aged about thirty
two years about five feet eight inches
in height of dark complexion is one of
the persons named in a deed of manumission
executed by Stephen Beard on the
26.th day of January 1820 & raised in the County
aforesaid
Issued the 11.th day of January
1848







Charles Johnson
                            No 232

County Court do certify that it has been proven
to my satisfaction that the Bearer
hereof named Charles Johnson aged about
thirty two years about five feet nine inches
in height of dark complexion is one of the
persons named in a deed of manumission
executed by Stephen Beard on the 6.th day of
January 1820 & raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 29 day of Jany 1848
