I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do certify that
it has been proved to my satisfaction
that the Bearer hereof named Henry
Matthews aged about twenty five years
about five feet five inches in height
of Brown complexion is the person named
in a deed of manumission executed by
by John Ridout on the 25.th day of May
1846 and that he was raised in the County
aforesaid
Issued the 25.th day of May 1846










Emanuel Emerson

State of Maryland
                     Anne Arundel County Sct

I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do certify that it has been
proven to my satisfaction that the Bearer
hereof named Emanuel Emerson aged about
twenty one years about five feet four inches in
height of dark complexion was born free and that
he was raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 22.nd day of June 1846










Eliza Scoggins

State of Maryland
                     Anne Arundel County Sct

I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do certify that it has been proven
to my satisfaction that the Bearer hereof named
Eliza Scoggins aged about thirty six years about
four feet eleven inches in height of dark complexion
is the identical person named in the deed of manumission
executed by Mary Wilson on the 11.th day of March
1813 and that he was raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 6.th day of June 1846
