     Anne Arundel County Sc

I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do certify
that it has been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Flora
Bordley aged about thirty eight years
of black complexion is one of the persons
named in a deed of manumission executed
by Henry Hammond bearing date the
28.th day of May 1828 and that she
was raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 22.nd day of May 1846

                                 Anne Arundel County sc

I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne
Arundel County Court do certify that
it has been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof named Margaret
Gross aged about nineteen years about five
feet four and a half in height of dark
complexion was born free and that she
was raised in the County aforesaid
Issued the 23.rd day of May 1846









David Gross
                            No 107

      State of Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc

I Joseph H Nicholson Clerk of Anne Arundel
County Court do certify that it has been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
David Gross aged about sixteen years about four
feet eleven inches in height of dark complexion
has a scar on the right side of his face from a burn
was born free and that he was raised in the County
aforesaid
