receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Peregrine Green his executors administrators and assigns my negro slave named Eliza aged about three years. To Have and To Hold the said female slave and the said Pregrine Green his executors administrators and assigns from the day of the sate of these presents untill the ninth day of December in the year eighteen hundred and sixty seven and not longer And be it further known that from and after the said last mentioned day and to date and take effect from and upon the same and not before I hereby for divers good and sufficient causes and considerations me thereunto moving release from slavery and servitude liberate and set free the said female slave named Eliza and her the said female slave I declare to be thenceforth freed manumitted and discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me my executors administrators and assigns. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this tenth day of December Anno Domini Eighteen hundred and forty five Signed Sealed and Joseph Armiger (seal) delivered in presence of Robert Boone At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland County of Anne Arundel Sct. Be it remembered that on this tenth day of December eighteen hundred and forty five before the Subscriber a justice of the peace of said State in and for said County duly commissioned and sworn personally appeared Joseph Armiger he being known unto me to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be a party to the aforegoing Indenture and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed. In Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on the day and year above written Recorded the 11.th day of Dec.b 1845 Rob.t Boone costs 75 cts paid
