77 On this 1.st day of November 1845 before me one of the Justices of the peace of Maryland in and for the County aforesaid personally appears Edward Wooten and acknowledges the within bill of sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such case made and provided Recorded the 14.th day of November 1845 Gassaway Winterson Costs 68 cts
County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and delivered and by these presents do grant bargain sell and deliver unto Walter S. Clarke of Prince Georges County and state aforesaid my two negro Girls Bety Jemima to serve foreteen years from the date hereof Mariah to serve twenty one years from the date hereof and their respective increase to serve as follows Boys to serve to thirty years old Girls to twenty eight years old said servants I will warrant and defend to the said Walter S. Clarke his executors and administrators and against every other person or persons whatsoever.
