506 & one coal, 2 cupboards and sundry other articles of household furniture all and singular which said goods and chattels are now remaining and being in a certain tenement situate in Gloucester street in the said City of Annapolis, and also all and singular the fixtures chairs combs brushes razors &c belonging and attached to the Barbershop in the City Hotel at Annapolis and now in the occupation of the said Stewart. To have and to hold all and singular the said goods household stuff and furniture and other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said John Basil Jr as attorney as aforesaid his executors administrators and assigns forever to his and their own use and behoof provided always and it is the true intent and meaning of these presents and of the said parties hereunto that if the said Judson Stewart his heirs executors or administrators do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said John Basil Jr as attorney as aforesaid his executors administrators or assigns the said full sum of ninety seven dollars and fifty nine cents current money with interest for the same on or before the first day of January in the year eighteen hundred and fifty three without and deduction or abatement whatsoever then and from thenceforth these presents and every matter and thing therein contained shall cease and be utterly null and void anything therein contained to the contrary thereof in anywise notwithstanding In witness whereof the said Judson Stewart hath hereunto set his hand and seal on this third day of December in the year eighteen hundred and fifty one. Hunter mark At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit On this third day of December in the year eighteen hundred and fifty one before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County personally appeared Judson Stewart and acknowledged the aforegoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned, also at the same time and place personally appeared John Basil Jr party grantee in the aforesaid instrument of writing and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set forth in the aforegoing instrument of writing is true and bona fide as therein stated.
