Anne Arundel County SS.  Be it remembered that on this
first day of March 1851, before the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace
for said County appears Esekiel E. Bell and Thomas Wilde,
and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be their
act and deed, according to the true intent and meaning thereof
Acknowledged before A. J. Phelps J. P.

And at the same time and place appears Thomas W.
Cole, the grantee of the within bill of sale, and made oath that
the consideration set forth in said bill of sale is true and
bona fide as therein set forth      Sworn before
                                                 A J. Phelps J. P.

Anne Arundel County, to wit.  I certify that the grantee this
day paid one dollar being the duty chargeable by Law on this
Instrument of writing, the receipt whereof is hereon endorsed
agreeably to the act of assembly of December Session
1846, Chapter 61.  Given under my hand this 3.rd day
of March 1851

This Indenture made this fourth
day of april, in the year of our Lord
one thousand, eight hundred and
fifty one between Eleanor Witright
Administratrix of Samuel Parrot
of Anne Arundel County, in the State of Maryland, of the
one part, and of John A Baldwin of the County and State
aforesaid of the other part.  Whereas the said John A. Baldwin
by his indenture of mortgage, or bill of sale, bearing date on
or about second day of December, one thousand, eight hundred
and forty two, duly executed, acknowledged and recorded
in Liber number two, folios two hundred and seventy two
one of the personal deed record books of Anne Arundel County
State aforesaid, did for and in consideration of the sum of
four hundred dollars, current money, grant, bargain, sell
alien, enfeoff and confirm, unto the said Samuel Parrot
his heirs and assigns, the following property, that is to say
one negro woman named Rachel, one negro boy named
Saul, one negro girl named Adeline, one bay mare, one
grey horse, two cows, and my crop of tobacco, supposed to be
five hogsheads, as reference to the above recited deed of mortgage
or bill of sale, will more fully and at large appear, and
