459 furniture and stock, hereinafter particularly mentioned; that is to say, eight persons, with the children of Eliza Cole and Bithers Maxall, and three men servants, viz John Woodland, Jarrett Woodland and Peter Marshall also an old buggy carriage, three bay horses, with all the ploughs, harrows, harness, geer, and farming utensils, work-oxes, mich-cows, hogs, sheep, and lambs, ox-cart, together with all the household and Kitchen furniture of every description, all of which said personal and chattel property was on the twelvth day of February, Anno Domini, one thousand, eight hundred and fifty one, purchased by me of John T. H. Sothoron, of the County and State aforesaid, as will by the bill of sale of John T. H. Sothoron to me of that date, more fully appear. To Have and To Hold, all and singular the said negroes, goods, household stuff, implements, furniture and stock, and other the premises, above bargained and sold, or mentioned or intended so to be, to the said Virginia R. Sothoron, her executors, administrators or assigns forever. And I the said Philip D. Sutton, for myself, my heirs, my executors, and administrators, all and singular, the said negroes, goods, household stuff, implements, furniture and stock, and other the premises, unto the said Virginia R. Sothoron, her executors, administrators and assigns, against me the said Philip D. Sutton, my executors, administrators, and against all, and every other person or persons whatsoever, shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents; of all and singular which said negroes, goods, household stuff, implements, furniture, and stock, and other the premises, I the said Philip D. Sutton have put the said Virginia R. Sothoron in full possession, by delivering to her the said negroes, goods, household stuff, implements, furniture and stock, at the sealing and delivery of these presents, unto the said Virginia R. Sothoron as aforesaid In witness whereof the said Philip D.
