and State aforesaid, at and before the sealing and
delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof, I the said
John T. H. Sothoron do hereby acknowledge, have granted,
bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant,
bargain and sell, unto the said Philip D. Sutton, his
Executors, administrators and assigns, all the negroes, goods,
household stuff, implements, furniture and stock
hereinafter described and particularly mentioned; that
is to say, eight persons with the children of Eliza Cole and
Bithers Maxall, and three men servants viz; John
Woodland and Jarret Woodland and Peter Marshall;
also an old buggy carriage, three bay horses with all the ploughs,
harrows, harness, geer and farming utensils, work-oxen,
milch-cows, hogs, sheep and lambs, ox cart, together with
all the household and Kitchen furniture of every description,
now in my possession.  To Have and to hold all and
singular the said negroes, goods, household stuff, implements,
furniture and stock, and other the premises, above bargained
and sold, or mentioned and intended so to be, unto the
said Philip D. Sutton, his Executors, Administrators, and
assigns forever; and I the said John T. H. Sothoron for myself,
my heirs, Executors and Administrators, all and singular
the said negroes, goods, household stuff, implements, furniture
and stock, and other the premises unto the said Philip D.
Sutton, his executors, administrators and assigns, against
me the said John T. H. Sothoron, my executors, administrators,
and against all and every other person or persons
whatsoever, shall and will warrant and forever defend by
these presents of all and singular, which said negroes, goods,
household stuff, implements furniture and stock, and
other the premises, I the said John T. H. Sothoron have put
the said Philip D. Sutton in full possession by delivering
to him, the said Philip D. Sutton, the said negroes, goods,
household stuff, implements, furniture and stock, at the
sealing and delivery of these presents, unto the said
Philip D. Sutton as aforesaid.  In witness whereof, the
said John T. H. Sothoron has hereunto set his hand and
seal this eleventh day of February Anno Domini ^one^ eight hundred
