Anne Arundel County to wit   I certify that the grantee in this Bill of sale
this day paid one dollar being the duty chargeable by Law on this Instrument
of writing the receipt whereof is herein endorsed agreeably to the act of assembly
of December session 1846 chapter 61   Given under my hand this 10th day

Beale Lusby
        to
William Bryan
This Indenture made this Eleventh day of April in the
year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty between
Beale Lusby of Anne Arundel County and State of
Maryland of the one part and William Bryan of
the same County and State of the other part   Whereas the said Beale
Lusby by his single Bill dated the 20th day of March 1850 owes and
Stands justly indebted unto the said William Bryan in the sum of Eighty
four dollars and fifty seven cents and to secure the payment thereof is willing
to Execute these presents,   Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said
Beale Lusby for and in consideration of the premises and of the sum
of five dollars current money to him in hand paid by the said
William Bryan the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Beale
Lusby hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant
bargain and sell unto the said William Bryan his Executors administrators
and assigns one negro woman named Louisa aged about
twenty seven years two cows and two horses and two steers
To Have and To Hold the same unto the said William Bryan
his executors administrators and assigns forever   Provided always
and and these presents are upon this condition that if the said
Beale Lusby his executors or administrators do and shall well and
truly pay or cause to be paid to the said William Bryan his executors
administrators or assigns the said sum of Eighty four dollars and fifty seven
cents with legal interest for the same from the twentieth day of March
Eighteen hundred and fifty until paid then these presents and every matter
and thing herein contained shall cease determine and be utterly void
to all intents and purposes any thing herein contained to
the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding   In Witness
whereof the said Beale Lusby hath hereto set his hand and seal
this Eleventh day of April in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty
