of age one negro Girl named Margaret about 6 years of age one negro girl
named Sarah about 4 years of age one negro Girl named Priscilla about
13 years of age  One negro Boy named William about 12 years of age one
negro Boy named Abram about 8 years of age all of them slaves for life
and six Horses and all the cattle sheep & hogs & crop of corn & crop of
Tobacco grown last year and now in houses   To Have and To Hold the
law unto the said parties of the second part their Executors administrators
and assigns forever   And I John H Somervell of the first part do
for myself my heirs Executors & administrators covenant and agree
to and with the said parties of the second part to warrant and defend
the sale of the aforesaid property hereby soled unto the said parties of
the second part their Executors administrators and assigns against all
and every person and persons whomsoever   In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of March in
the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty
signed sealed & delivered
    in the presence of            John H Somervell   (seal)
William Lyles J P

State of Maryland Anne Arundel County To wit   on this 25th
day of March 1850 before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in &
for the State & County aforesaid personally appeared John H Somervell
who being personally known to me as the party of the first part in the
aforegoing Bill of Sale or Instrument of Writing and acknowledged the
same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein contained and
according to the true intent & meaning thereof & the act of assembly in
such case made and provided.   The words under the firm of J. W. & E Reynolds
interlined between the sixth & seventh lines were so interlined before the
Execution of the Bill of Sale above

Md City of Baltimore April 1st 1850   Then appeared Edward Reynolds
business & acting partner of the firm of J W & E Reynolds parties
grantees in the within Bill of Sale & Instrument of Writing before me
the subscriber a Justice of the peace in & for the State of Maryland &
City of Baltimore personally & made oath on the Holy Evangelly of
Almighty God that the amount of money therein stipulated as
being paid for the property therein specified & set forth is Bonafidely
paid to the said Jno H Somervell by the said J W & E Reynolds
to the best of his knowledge & Belief

State of Maryland Baltimore County Sct   I hereby certify that
William B Nelson Esquire Before whom the annexed affidavit
was made and who has thereto subscribed his name was at the time
