grantee respectively in the aforegoing Indenture or instrument of writing and made
oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration therein set forth is
true and bona fide as therein stated      In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my
hand on the day and year above written

 Know all men by these presents that I Jacob F. Belmear of A A
County and state of Maryland for and in consideration of           (  25  )
the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars lawful money              ( cent )
of the United States in hand paid by Samuel D. Lynch of A A    (stamp)
County and state of Maryland at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by
these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Samuel D Lynch his executors
administrators and assigns one negro man Ned about forty years old slave for life
    To Have and to Hold the said negro man Ned for life to the said Samuel D. Lynch
aforesaid his executors administrators and assigns.      In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this 25.th day of October eighteen hundred and forty nine
signed sealed and delivered in

State of Maryland A. A. County to wit   Be it remembered and it is hereby certified
that on this 25.th day of October eighteen hundred and forty nine before the subscriber
a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for A. A. County aforesaid
personally appeared Jacob F. Bealmear he being known to me to be the person who
is named and described as and professing to be a party ^to^ the foregoing Bill of sale
and doth acknowledge the said instrument of writing to be his act and deed
And at the same time and place also appeared before me Samuel D. Lynch the
grantee in the said Bill of Sale named and made oath that the consideration set
forth on the said Bill of Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth

Anne Arundel County to wit:   I hereby certify that Samuel D. Lynch has this day paid
one dollar being the duty chargeable by law on this instrument of writing the receipt
whereof is hereon endorsed agreeably to the act of assembly of December session 1846
Chapter 61            Given under my hand this 13th day of November 1849
