336 ironing table seven flat irons two large potracks one axe one large traveling trunk two saddles & bridles two setts of double plough harness To Have and to Hold all and singular the said goods furniture and household stuff unto the said Dan.l L. Lazenby his executors administrators and assigns to his and their own use and behoof Provided Always and it is declared to be the true intent and meaning of these presents that if the said Thomas M. Crouch do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Danl L Lazenby his executors administrators or assigns the full sum of five hundred and seventy (517) dollars with legal interest according to the tenor of the aforenamed promissory note on oe before the first day of January one thousand eight hundred and fifty then and in such case these presents and every matter and thing herein contained shall cease determine and be utterly void to all intents and purposes anything herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding: and the said Thomas M. Crouch his executors and administrators all and singular the said goods and furniture and household stuff by these presents granted bargained and sold and every part thereof unto the said Dan.l L. Lazenby his executors administrators and assigns against him the said Thomas M. Crouch his executors and administrators and against all and every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and defend by these presents In Testimony whereof the said Thomas M. Crouch has hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written Signed sealed and delivered in the Tho.s M. Crouch (seal) presence of J. W. Hunter State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this thirtieth day of March in the year eighteen hundred and forty nine before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for Anne Arundel County personally appeared and acknowle^d^ges the aforegoing Mortgage or instrument or writing to be his act and deed In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day and year afore named J W Hunter State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit. On this thirtieth day of March in the year eighteen hundred and forty nine before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace of the said state and county aforesaid personally appeared Dan.l L. Lazenby the above named mortgagee and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration in the aforegoing deed of Mortgage is true and bona fide as therein set forth J W Hunter Received March 30.th 1849 fifty cents for stamp duty on this instrument Jos.
