332 George H. Stewart his executors administrators or assigns the sum of five hundred dollars with interest according to the tenor of said note for that amount then this deed and every matter and thing herein expressed and contained shall be null and void The mortgagor to continue in possession of the mortgaged goods and chattels until default in payment of the aforesaid note and interest thereon In Witness whereof the said Thomas M. Crouch hath hereto set his hand and seal on the day and year first above written Signed sealed and delivered (the interlineations in Thos. M. Crouch (seal) first page being first made) in presence of Gassaway Winterson State of Maryland Anne Arundel County sct Be it remembered that on this twenty second day of March eighteen hundred and forty nine before me the subscriber personally appeared a justice of the peace of the state of Maryland for Anne Arundel County aforesaid personally appears Thomas M. Crouch and acknowledges the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such case made and provided and at the same time before me personally appears George H Stewart the within named mortgagee and made oath in due form of law that the consideration set forth in the within deed of Mortgage is true and bona fide as therein set forth. I being satisfied that the said Thomas M. Crouch and George H Stewart so appearing before me are the persons named and described as and professing to be the parties to the foregoing deed Acknowledged and sworn to before Gassaway Winterson Recorded on the 23d day of March 1849 Deed to Grantee 19th 1850 Decr Cost $1.37
Mackubin in the sum of two thousand five hundred and thirty dollars for which he has executed and delivered to the said Richard C. Mackubin his bond or obligation bearing even date with these presents duly stamped according to law and payable on demand with interest from date. Now this Indenture witnesseth that for the better securing the payment of the sum of money of mentioned in the said bond or obligation and also in consideration of the sum of four dollars in hand paid by the said Richard C. Mackubin at the time of sealing and delivering these presents the said Charles F Worthington hath granted bargained and sold transferred and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell transfer and convey unto the said Richard C. Mackubin his heirs and assigns the following negro slaves negro man Tom Hanson aged about fifty five years negro man Harry aged about forty five years one negro man Davy Young aged about fifty years of age one woman Liz and three children aged about thirty years one woman Deby aged about twenty years one man |
