was made, John Iglehart the Grantee in the aforegoing instrument of writing
and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration
therein expressed is bona fide due and owing from the said James H. Iglehart

James W. Burke
Know all Men by These Presents That
I Rhetillah Burk of Ann arundel County
and State of Maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of one dollar lawful money
of the United States in hand paid by James
W. Burk at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged, Have granted, bargained and sold, and by
these presents Do grant bargain and sell unto the said James W. Burke
his Executors, Administrators and Assigns  One Negro Girl named
Laura and said Lauras increase aged Six years 15th November last to
serve until she shall have Arrived to the age of Thirty five years and
then to go free and her increase each at the age of Thirty five years to go free
the said described Negro Girl Laura and her increase to the said James
W. Burk his Executors Administrators and assigns and I the said
Rhetillah Burk for my self Heirs, Executors and Administrators, the
said Negro Girl Laura and her increase unto the said James W. Burk
his Executors, Administrators and assigns, against me the said Rhetillah
Burk my Executors and administrators and against all and
every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever
defend by these presents
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and seal this twelth
day of April Eighteen Hundred and forty Eight

Be it Remembered That On this Twelth day of April 1848, before
