April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five before
the Subscriber a justice of the peace of the State of Maryland in and for Anne
Arundel County aforesaid personally appeared William McNeir he being known
to me to be the person who is named and described as professing to be a party
to the foregoing Bill of sale or Indenture and doth acknowledge the said Indenture
or Instrument of writing to be his act and deed.  In Testimony whereof
I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day and year aforesaid

Johnson  To Edward T. Paca

Know all Men by these presents
That we Thomas S. Alexander and
John Johnson Trustees for the Sale of the real and personal Estate
of Richard J. Jones of the State of Maryland for and in consideration
of the Sum of Two hundred and Thirty one dollars current Money in hand
paid by Edward T. Paca of Queen Anns County to the State aforesaid
at or before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged   Have granted bargained and Sold and
by these presents Do grant bargain and Sell unto the Said Edward
T. Paca his Executors administrators and assigns one negro man
named Nace aged thirty one years the 10 of July Eighteen hundred
and forty four and is to serve until he arrives at the age of forty
four   Also one other negro Man named Robert Henry to serve until
the first day of March Eighteen hundred and forty Nine.    To Have
and to hold all and Singular both the Said negro Men Nace
and Robert Henry above bargained and sold or Mentioned or
intended so to be to the said Edward T. Paca his Executors administrators
and assigns and we the said Thomas S. Alexander
and John Johnson for ourselves our heirs Executors and administrators
all and Singular both the Said Negro Man Nace and
Robert Henry unto the said Edward T. Paca his executors administrators
and assigns against us the said Thomas S.
Alexander and John Johnson and our Executors and administrators
shall and will warrant and defend by these presents
In witness whereof the said Thomas S. Alexander John Johnson
and Edward T. Paca have hereunto set our hands and seals this
Twenty fourth day of April Eighteen hundred and forty five
