Margaret Elizabeth then aged just thirteen years to serve during the
above described term until the ninth day of January in the year eighteen
hundred and sixty three when she should become free with the
condition that her children if any born during the said term of her
servitude should respectively become free as they should attain the
said age of thirty one years.  Now know all men by these presents that
the said Alexander Randall for and in consideration of the sum
of one hundred and ninety one dollars current money to him in
hand paid by Thomas Armiger who now is and for more than one
year last passed has been a bona fide resident of the State of Maryland
the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath
bargained sold assigned and transferred and by these presents doth
bargain sell assign & transfer unto the said Thomas Armiger his
executors administrators and assigns all the right title and interest
of the parties to the aforementioned decree and every of them both at law
and in equity in and to the said negro woman for and during the
period or term of servitude reserved as aforesaid that is to say from the
date hereof unto the said negro woman shall attain the age of thirty
one years and also in and to the issue to be born of the said negro woman
during the period or term of her servitude as aforesaid for and during
the period or term as stated above.  To have and to Hold all the right
and interest of him the said Trustee and of the parties to the said
Decree in and to the said negro woman named Margaret Elizabeth
the same being a black girl said to be the daughter of Selina and
sold with her to William Armiger by Henrietta Hodgkin for and
during the aforesaid term of servitude so reserved and hereby bargained
and sold to the said Thomas Armiger his Executors administrators
and assigns together with all and every of the issue which the
said negro woman named Margaret Elizabeth may have on or before
the said ninth day of January in the year eighteen hundred and
sixty three for and during the periods or terms during which the
State and condition of the said issue is fixed to be slavery or servitude
as mentioned and expressed above.  In Witness whereof the said
Alexander Randall and Thomas Armiger have hereunto subscribed
their names and affixed their seals this twenty seventh day of June of
June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six
