Know all men by these presents that John F Jacobs of Anne
Arundel County State of Maryland for and in consideration of the
sum of forty dollars current money to me in hand paid by William
Jones of Jason of the County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do
hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and delivered and by these
presents do grant bargain sell and deliver unto the said William Jones of
Jason two cows three feather beds & bedding one bureau one mahogany clock
two tables six windsor chairs which said property I will warrant and
defend to the said William Jones of Jason his executors administrators and
assigns against me my executors and administrators and against every other
person or persons whomsoever.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and affixed my seal this thirteenth day of February in the year one
thousand eight hundred and forty five and I the said John F Jacobs have
put the said William Jones of Jason in full possession by delivering one chair
in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained & sold or meant or
intended so to be

                   Received on the day of the date of the aforegoing bill of sale for me
William Jones of Jason forty dollars being the same and specified in said bill

       On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

    State of Maryland Howard District of Anne Arundel County S. S.

       On this 12 day of February one thousand eight hundred and forty five
personally appear John F. Jacobs before the Subscriber one of the Justices of
the peace of the State of Maryland in and for the District aforesaid and do
acknowledge the within bill of sale to be his act and deed and the property
therein specified to be the property of William Jones of Jason

                               Whereas I James Larrimore of Anne Arundel County and
State of Maryland stand indebted to Ann Nichols in the sum of eight hundred
dollars current money on a note drawn by me and bearing date March 1.st 1840
and whereas for the purpose of securing the said sum of money with interest
from the date above to the said Ann Nichols I am willing to execute these
presents.  Now know all men by these presents.  Now know all men by these presents
that I James Larrimore for and in consideration of the premises and of the sum
of five dollars to me in hand paid have granted bargained and sold and by
these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Ann Nichols the
whole of my personal property of every kind as follows one negro woman
