Calico ten peices of casemere five pieces of silk five boxes of ribbons fifty pair pantaloons
ten pieces of flannel ten pieces of ticking ten pieces of muslin fifty umbrellas twelve
pieces of coarse kersey four chests of Tea Eight thousand Cigars four boxes of
tobacco a lot of queensware tin and earthen ware six kegs of nails ten
bundles of knives twenty pair of skates ten pair halter chains four bags of
Coffee Eight hundred pounds of sugar one hogshead of molasses one lot of
drugs one dray and harness a lot of fixtures including scales weights measures
cans and jars as by reference to said Indenture of mortgage recorded in the
office of the Clerk of Anne Arundel County to wit in Liber W T G No 2 folios
33 & will more fully and at large appear and whereas the said Indenture of
Mortgage was Executed by the said Ambrose B Owens to secure to the said
James Lea the payment of the sum of three thousand nine hundred and
Eighty two dollars and twenty four cents with legal interest thereon which
sum of money with interest having been fully paid and satisfied to
the said James Lea he the said James Lea is willing and doth agree to
Execute these presents  Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said
James Lea for and in Consideration of the premises and of the sum of five
dollars Current money to him in hand paid by the said Ambrose B Owens
at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these
presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Ambrose B Owens all
and singular the goods wares and merchandize above described with all the
right title interest claim and demand whatsoever at law or in equity of the
said James Lea of in to and from the same  To have and To hold the said
goods wares and merchandize unto the said Ambrose B Owens his Executors
administrators and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said
Ambrose B Owens his Executors administrators and assigns forever  in
Testimony whereof the said James Lea hath hereunto set his hand and
affixed the seal on the day and year first above written

Jacob Bradenbaugh

             At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

Maryland Anne Arundel County Sc  Be it remembered and it is hereby
Certified that on this twenty second day of November in the year Eighteen hundred
and thirty nine before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the said state in
and for the County aforesaid personally appeared James Lea he being known
to me to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be a
