64 3 leases for Books & 1 Wash stand 2½ Dozen Chairs Candlesticks & Lamps 1 Side Board 7 Looking Glasses Carpites for 7 Rooms Exd d d chd $1.03 9 Recorded the 18th day of November 1839 Know all men by these present that I John Anderson of Anne Arundel County and state of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars Current money to me in hand paid by John Colinson of the County and State aforesaid at or before the ensealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said John Anderson do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John Colinson his Executors administrators and assigns one bay mare with white face and one large white spot on each side and Sorrel Colt in its second groth with the seven marks and now in my Possession To have and To hold the said Property to the said John Collinson his Executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said John Anderson for myself my heirs Executors and administrators the aforesaid Property to the said John Colinson his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said John Anderson my Executors and administrators and against all and every person and persons whomsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents Provided Nevertheless that in Case I the said John Anderson shall pay and satisfy to the said John Colinson or to his Executors administrators or assigns the sum of sixty dollars Current with Interest for the same on or before the fifth day of may and ensuing then this Bill of Sale and every matter and thing therein expressed shall be void and of none Effect it being the true intent and meaning thereof that the said Property is mortgaged by me the said John Anderson to secure to the said John Colinson the payment of the money aforesaid In Witness Whereof I the said John Anderson have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fifth day of November 1839 Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Edward Norris Richard T Tucker John Anderson (seal) On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit Maryland Anne Arundel County To wit On this fifth day of November 1839 Before me one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County appears John Anderson |
