47 Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of maryland in and for Anne Arundel County personally appeared Leonard Johnson and doth acknowledge the within Instrument of writing to be his act and deed In Testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this date above written Owen Disney (seal) Exd d d chd 43 3 Recorded the 8th day of August 1839 This Indenture made this second day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty nine between William T Norfolk of Anne Arundel County and state of maryland of the one part and John R Hynson and William Hopkins of the City of Baltimore in Baltimore County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of Five dollars lawful money to the party hereto of the first part paid by the parties of the second part to these presents at or before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and also for divers other good causes & valuable Considerations the party of the first part thereunto moving the said William T Norfolk hath bargained sold and Conveyed assigned transferred and made over and by these presents doth bargain sell and Convey assign transfer and make over unto the said John R Hynson and William Hopkins their Executors administrators and assigns all and Singular the stock of goods wares merchandize chattels and effects of or belonging to the said William T Norfolk and now being in the store occupied by him at Ellicotts Mills in Anne Arundel County aforesaid And also all debts and Sums of money due owing or payable to the party of the first part and all books of accounts bonds bills notes evidences and vouchers touching or concerning the Same To have and To hold all said goods wares merchandize Chattels effects debts and sums of money hereby mentioned to be Conveyed and assigned unto the said John R Hynson and William Hopkins and the survivor ^of them and the Executors administrators and assigns of the survivor^ for ever In Trust and Confidence nevertheless and to for and upon the uses and to the ends intents and purposes herein after expressed and declared of and Concerning the Same And this Indenture further Witnesseth that the said William T Norfolk hath Constituted and appointed and doth hereby Constitute and appoint and in his place and stead put and depute the said John R Hynson and William Hopkins and the survivor of them and the Executors and administrators of the survivor to be his true and lawful attorneys irrevocable in the name of the said William T Norfolk or otherwise as the case may require but to the uses herein after set forth to take possession of and get into their hands the whole of the hereby assigned property and by all lawful ways and means to enforce the (payment) |
