of the said deed of trust sold the said four negroes to the said Randall at and for
the sum of two hundred and forty dollars to serve until they severally attain the
age of thirty five years  And whereas the said Jones hath Mortgaged the said
assigns or some of them prior to the Execution of the said deed of trust to Alfred
P Wurts Solomon Caldwell and Edward Wurts who by their Attorney the said
John Johnson hath assented to these presents in consideration that the said
purchase money hath been paid to him and the said Alexander and attests the
same by his signature hereunto  Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said
Johnson and Alexander for and in consideration of the premises and of the said
sum of two hundred and forty dollars to them in hand paid by the said Randall
the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and
delivered and by these presents do grant bargain sell and deliver unto the said
Randall the above described four Negroes Charlotte Lucinda alias Louisa
Eliza and Waitman  To have and To hold them and their issue of the females
thereof to serve until they severally attain the age of thirty five years the said Alexander
Randall his Executors administrators and assigns  In Testimony whereof the
said parties have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals respectively the day
and year first herein written

          At the foot of the foregoing was thus written to wit

    State of maryland Anne Arundel County sc  Be it remembered That on this
19 day of July in the year Eighteen hundred and forty four before me the
subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of maryland in and for Anne Arundel
county personally appear John Johnson Thomas S Alexander and Alexander
Randall parties in the aforegoing deed or instrument of writing and acknowledge
the same as their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned

    State of maryland Anne Arundel County to wit  Know all men by these
presents that I Joseph McKenney of the State and County aforesaid for and in
consideration of Eighty Six dollars and thirty six Cents Current money to me in
hand paid by Frances N Whittington of the same State and county aforesaid at or
before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Joseph
McKenney do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Frances N Whittington her Executors
