occupied by me as tenant of the Children of Thomas and Matilda Claude lately deceased
To have and To hold the aforesaid personal property with its increase unto and to the
use of the said Crabb his Executors administrators and assigns with power and
authority to him and them whomever hereafter he and they shall deem fit and in
and remain and on such terms as he and they shall think expectant to sell the
aforesaid personal property and the proceeds thereof after defraying the expenses
attending said sale apply to the payment of the rents now due and in arrears and
such other part as may hereafter become due and in arrear from me my Executors
as administrators as tenant as aforesaid unto the Children of Thomas and Matilda
those deceased and the surplus thereof to pay over unto myself my Executors
administrators or assigns but it is hereby to be understood that until the said
Crabb his Executors administrators or assigns shall determine to sell said property
for the purposes aforesaid the sums shall remain in my possession to be used however
without waste or destruction unless the said Crabb shall consent thereto  In
Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal the seventh day of July in the
year Eighteen hundred and forty four

          At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

    Anne Arundel County to wit:  On this 9 day of July 1844 before me a Justice
of the peace in and for said County personally appeared the above named
Benjamin B Waring and acknowledges the foregoing instrument of writing to

    Know all men by these presents that I Thomas B Crandle of the State of maryland
and Anne Arundle County for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and
fifty dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Philip D Sutton Merchant of
Friendship of said County and State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery
hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Phillip D Sutton as
aforesaid his Executors administrators and assigns my present Crop of Tobacco and
Corn now growing in the fields supposed to be about five thousand pounds Nett
when matured and forty of fifty barrels of Corn also now in the ground a growing
which Crop I promise to Cultivate and save to the best of my abillity and when
duly prepared I promise to deliver to order or the sum of one hundred and fifty
dollars and all legal expences on the same and which is now in my possession
To have and To hold the same described property or produce above bargained and
sold to the said Phillip D Sutton his Executors administrators and assigns for
