300 the Crop of Tobacco which I made the present year and now hanging in the house supposed to contain about Ten hogsheads of Tobacco To have and To hold all and singular the said Crop of Tobacco above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Robert M Dodson his Executors administrators and assigns forever And I the said John OHara for myself my heirs Executors and administrators all and singular the said Crop of Tobacco and other the premises unto the said Robert M Dodson his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said John G OHara my Executors and administrators and assigns and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents of all and singular which said Crops Tobacco and other the premises I the said John G OHara have put the said Robert M Dodson in full possession by delivering the same to him the said Robert M Dodson at the sealing and delivering of these presents In Witness whereof I the said John G OHara as aforesaid hath hereunto set my hand and seal this 28th day of November in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty three Signed Sealed and delivered in presence John G OHara (seal) of: D H Battee Samuel Watkins At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne Arundel County to wit: On this 28th day of November 1843 came John G OHara before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County aforesaid and acknowledged the above instrument of writing to be his act and deed agreeably to the true intent and meaning thereof and the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided Acknowledged before Saml H Hamilton Exd d d paid 62 4½ Recorded the 12th day of December 1843 Know all men by these presents that I Orlando Hancock of Anne Arundel County maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty three dollars and twenty Cents Current money of the United States to me in hand paid by Thomas J Mezick of the said place the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Thomas J Mezick a negro boy called Robert Stepney supposed to be about Eighteen or Nineteen years of age to serve the said Thomas J Mezick until he arrives to the age of thirty one years and which said boy I purchased under a Mortgage Executed by Joshua Johnson to me on the 30th day of September 1842 which is recorded in Liber W J G No 2 folio 198 one of the personal deed records books of the expiration of the time of the payment mentioned in said mortgage To |
