271 Company of The Farmers Bank of Md to the only proper use and behoof of the said President Directors and Company of The Farmers Bank of Md for ever Provided always and these presents and upon this Condition that of the said J L Hughes his Executors or administrators shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said President Directors and Company of The Farmers Bank of maryland the full sum of one hundred & forty five dollars & forty four Cents Current money with legal interest for the same on or before the twentieth day of July Eighteen hundred and forty four then & on such case these presents and every matter & thing herein contained shall cease determine and be utterly void to all intents & purposes any thing herein contained to the Contrary thereof in anywise notwithstanding And the said J L Hughes for himself his heirs Executors administrators and assigns doth Covenant promise and agree to and with the said President Directors and Company of The Farmers Bank of maryland be their assigns that he the said J L Hughes his heirs Executors or administrators or some or one of them shall and will well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said President Directors and Company of The Farmers Bank of maryland or their assigns the said sum of one hundred and forty five dollars & forty four Cents together with interest for the same on or before the twentieth day of July Eighteen hundred and forty four as in and by the Condition of the said recited bond are mentioned and appointed for payment thereof In Testimony whereof the said Jeremiah L Hughes hath hereto set his hand and affixed his seal this twentieth day of July Eighteen hundred and forty three J L Hughes (seal) Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of: The words The President Directors and Company of The" having been Eight times first interlined J W Hunter On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne Arundel County Be it remembered That on this twentieth day of July in the year Eighteen hundred and forty three before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State and County aforesaid personally appears the above named Grantor Jeremiah L Hughes of the said County and acknowledges the above deed or instrument of writing his act and deed chd Acknowledged before & Certified by J W Hunter 58 14 Recorded the 3rd day of August 1843 Know all men by these presents that I Fielder Owens of Anne Arundel County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and seventy six dollars and seventy Eight Cents Current money to me in hand paid by Alexander Owens of said County of Anne Arundel in said State at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Fielder Owens do hereby acknowledge have granted and sold |
