245 one red milch cow aged twelve years one red Cow aged about six years one red and white Cow aged about four years one red yearling heifer aged about two years one two years old steer red four feather beds and furniture one dozen winsor chairs one mahogany table one walnut table one mahogany bureau and one walnut book case all of which aforementioned property is now in my possession To have and To hold the aforesaid property to the said Arbridge Owens her heirs Executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said Gassaway Owens for my heirs Executors administrators and assigns the aforesaid property to the said Arbridge ^E^ Owens his heirs Executors administrators and assigns against me the said Gassaway Owens my heirs Executors administrators and assigns against all and any person whomsoever will warrant and forever defend by these presents In Witness whereof I the said Gassaway Owens have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fifteenth day of April Eighteen hundred and forty three Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence Gassaway Owens (seal) of us William Watson S P Hamilton At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of maryland Anne Arundel County to wit On this fifteenth day of April Eighteen hundred and forty three before me a Justice of the peace in and for said county personally appears Gassaway Owens and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing or bill of sale to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the Acts of the General Assembly in such case made and provided As Witness my hand Saml H Hamilton paid Exd d d 78 5½ Recorded the 20 day of April 1843 Know all men by these presents that I Gassaway Owens of Ann Arundel County and State of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Enoch Owens of Ann Arundell County in the said State at and before the sealing and delivering of the presents the receipt whereof I the said Gassaway Owens do hereby acknowledge have granted bargened and sold and by thes presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Enoch Owens his heirs Executors administrators and assigns all the property hereinafter particularly mentioned that is to say one bay gelding aged six years one black gelding aged ten years one sorrel colt aged two years two brindle Steers one eight years of age the other four years fifteen sheep twenty hogs all of which afforementioned property is now in my possession To have and To hold the aforesaid property to the said Enoch Owens his heirs Executors administrators and assigns against me the said Gassaway Owens his heirs Executors administrators and assigns and against all and every other person or (persons) |
