          On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

       State of maryland Anne Arundel County Sc  Be it remembered that on this fifth day
of April in the year of our Lord Eight hundred and forty three before me the subscriber
one of the Justices of the peace of the State of Maryland in and for the County aforesaid
personally appears Joshua Owens and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing
or bill of sale to be his act and deed                        J W Hunter

       Know all men by these presents that I James Larimore Junior of Anne
Arundel County in the State of maryland for and in consideration of five hundred
dollars Current money to me in hand paid by Joseph Steven of the said County and
State at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the
said James Larimore do acknowledge and myself to be therewith full satisfied contented
and paid have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain
and sell unto the said Joseph Steven his Executors administrators and assigns the
following goods and personal property herein after mentioned that is to say four head
of horses two yoke of oxen three Cows twenty head of hogs one ox cart four feather
beds bedsteads and bedding three mahogany tables one dozen chairs sixty barrells
of Corn and one thousand pounds of Tobacco all of which said articles so described as
aforesaid are in the possession of the said James Larimore  To have and To hold the
said goods and personal property so described as aforesaid unto the said Joseph Steven
his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said James Larimore my
Executors administrators and assigns I the said James Larimore will warrant and
forever defend by these presents  In Witness whereof I the said James Larimore Junior
and hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of april eighteen hundred and
forty three

          At the foot of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

    State of maryland Anne Arundel County Ss  Be it remembered That on this fourteenth
day of April Eighteen hundred and forty three personally appeared James Larimore
Junior before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of maryland in and for said
county he being known to me to be the person who is described as and professing to be a
party to the foregoing instrument of writing and doth acknowledge the same to be his
act and deed for the purposes herein mentioned according to the true intent and
meaning thereof and the Acts of Assembly in such case made and provided
