personally appeared George McNeir before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace
in and for Anne Arundel County and acknowledged the foregoing deed or instrument
of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned according to the
purport true intent and meaning thereof and the acts of assembly in such case made

       Know all Men by these presents that I William Scott of Anne Arundel
County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred
and thirteen dollars Current money to me in hand paid by John Kerr of Talbot
County in the state of maryland before the sealing and delivery of these presents have
given granted bargained sold and delivered and by these Presents do give grant
bargain sell and deliver to the said John Leeds Kerr his Executors administrators or
assigns all and singular the goods chattels Stock & property hereinafter mentioned
and described that is to say two black oxen with white faces four cows two young
Steers two heifers two head of sheep one bay mare Pat one do Poll one Roan
Mare Isabella one black horse Jack three Young mules one ox cart one
horse Cart five ploughs a drag harrow & two cultivators being now on the farm
on Severn now in my tenure and occupation and all which goods chattels stock
& property are given into the said Kerrs possession  To have and To hold unto the
said John Leeds Kerr his Executors administrators or assigns forever to his and
their sole use right title & purposes the said goods chattels stock and property
herein above described  In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal the day and year first herein before mentioned

             On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit

Anne Arundel County to wit  Received on this twenty fourth day of October
in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty two of John Leeds Kerr of
Talbott County in the State of maryland the sum of five hundred and thirteen
dollars Current money being the actual and bona fide consideration of the
within bill of sale & of the several goods chattels stock and property therein
mentioned and described & thereby bargained and sold

on this twenty fourth day of October in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and
forty two personally appears before me the subscriber William Scott of Anne Arundel
