122 Laws of maryland and the said Annapolis and Elkridge Rail Road Company doth hereby ratify and confirm the acknowledgment and recording aforesaid so to be had and made by the said Nicholas H Green as aforesaid In witness whereof I Somerville Pinkney President of the Annapolis and Elkridge Rail Road Company have hereunto subscribed and caused the corporate (Seal) seal of the said Company to be hereunto affixed the day and year above written Somerville Pinkney President of the Annapolis & Elkridge Rail Road Company On the back of the aforegoing was thus written to wit State of Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit Be it remembered that on this 8.th day of April 1841 before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the State of Maryland for the County aforesaid personally appears Nicholas H Green of the City of Annapolis named in the aforegoing power of attorney Contained in the aforegoing deed or indenture and by virtue of the power of attorney Contained in the said indenture acknowledges the said Indenture for and in the name of and as the act and deed of the Annapolis & Elkridge Rail Road Company above and therein named in order that the same may be recorded according to law and I Certify that I am satisfied of my own knowledge that Nicholas H Green acknowledging as aforesaid is the identical person named and described in the power of attorney Contained in the said deed acknowledged before and Certified by Wm Glover chd $1.07 9½ Recorded the 9th day of April 1841 Know all men by these presents that I John T Watkins of Anne Arundel County and State of Maryland for and in Consideration of the Sum of two hundred dollars Current money to me in hand paid by William G Mackall of the County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William G Mackall his Executors administrators and assigns one Buggey waggon and two dark brown mares one ten years old and the other twelve years old To have and To hold the same describe property above bargained and sold to the said William G Mackall his Executors administrators and assigns to his only use and benefit And I the said John T Watkins for myself my Executors and administrators shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents to the said William G Mackall his Executors administrators and assigns the said property against me my Executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons (whomsoever) |
