107 to the said James Iglehart in the Sum of one thousand dollars Current money and to secure the payment thereof is willing to Execute these presents Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Thomas for and in Consideration of the premises and for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars Current money to him in hand paid by the said James Iglehart at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said James Iglehart his Executors administrators and assigns all and singular the goods furniture and household stuff hereinafter particularly mentioned and expressed that is to say one Mahogany sofa one mahogany extensive table one set mahogany dining tables two mahogany cantle Stand one dozen cane bottom chairs one rocking chair one and a half dozen windsor chairs two mantle looking glasses one astrial lamp two pairs of gilt candlesticks with trays &.c several pairs of brass Candlesticks a variety of carpeting three sets of andirons fenders Shovels and tongs one old fashioned piano four feather beds with the necessary bedding four bedsteads two Chamber looking glasses one mahogany bureau and glass Chamber window Curtain one dozen silver Table and one dozen silver tea Spoons and two sugar tongs a variety of glass and china a variety of culinary articles and kitchen furniture a book case containing a library of about two hundred volumes together with whatever other household goods I may now belong to the said Thomas Karney To have and To hold all and singular the said goods furniture and household Stuff unto the said James Iglehart his Executors administrators and assigns to his and their own use and behoof Provided always and it is declared to be the true intent and meaning of these presents that if the said Thomas Karney do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said James Iglehart his Executors administrators or assigns the full Sum of one thousand dollars Current money with legal interest for the same on or before the first day of January in the year one thousand Eight hundred and forty two then and in such Case these presents and every matter and thing herein Contained shall Cease determine and be utterly void to all intents and purposes anything herein Contained to the Contrary Notwithstanding And the Said Thomas Karney for himself his heirs Executors and administrators and for every of them doth Covenant promise and agree to and with the said James Iglehart his Executors administrators and assigns by these presents that he the said Thomas Karney his heirs Executors or administrators shall and will well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the Said James Iglehart his Executors administrators or assigns the said sum of one thousand dollars Current money together with interest for the same after the rate aforesaid ^at such time^ at such time as herein before set forth and agreed for the payment thereof and the said Thomas Karney for himself his Executors and administrators all and Singular the said goods &.c by these presents granted bargained and sold and (every) |
