82 Aprial Eighteen hundred and fifty five appeared William Simpson Adm.r of Charles R. Simpson deceased before the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the county aforesaid and acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and according to the acts of assembly in such case made and provided and I hereby certify that I am acquainted with the parties signing the said instrument of writing and know them to be the persons they represents themselves therein to be Acknowledged before me R. C. Nicholson on this second day of Aprial Eighteen hundred and fifty five came Richard Simpson before the subscriber and made oath that the sale and purchase of the within named negro was a bona fida sale and purchase R. C. Nicholson Received on the aforegoing instrument of writing when presented for record one dollar in lieu of stamp under the act of 1846 ch 61. W. H. Worthington clk Received to be recorded on the 3.d day of April 1855 at ½ past 1 o'clock P.M. same day recorded and examined per W. H. Worthington clk
