75 aforesaid for and in consideration of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the said William Morrison the receipt being hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold unto the said William Morrison the Mulatto boy child about two years old to serve untill he arrive at the age of thirty years or untill the Twentieth day of march Eighteen hundred and eighty three and to be free and discharged from slavery and bondage to all and every person & persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said William simpson administrator aforesaid and William Morrison have hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals this twenty third day of February eighteen hundred and fifty five signed sealed & declared William Simpson (seal) in the presence of William Morrison (seal) R. C. Nicholson state of Maryland Howard County to wit On this twenty third day of February eighteen hundred and fifty five before the subscriber a justice of the peace in and for the county and state aforesaid personally appears William simpson administrator of Charles R. Simpson deceased and William Morrison parties to the aforegoing Instrument of writing and do severally acknowledge the same to be their respective act and deed and at the same time before me the said William Morrison the bargainee within named makes oath in due form of law the consideration set forth in the foregoing Bill of sale is true and bona fida as therein set forth In Testamony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name on the day and year aforesaid R. C. Nicholson (seal) Received on the aforegoing Instrument of writing when presented for record one dollar in lieu of stamp under the act of 1846 ch 61. W. H.
