5 whatsoever then the above obligation and every matter and thing therein contained to cease and be utterly null and void any thing therein contained to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding In Testimony whereof the said Benjamin Hearn hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written Signed sealed and delivered in presence of Benjamin Hearn (seal) E. Lyons State of maryland Howard county to wit on this 3.d day of January 1853 before the subscriber a justice of the Peace of the county and state aforesaid personally appears Benjamin Hearn and acknowledged the above Bill of sale to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof Acknowledged before E. C. Lyons and also at the same appears before me Tilghman ^H^ Iglehart and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set forth in the above Bill of sale is bona fide just and true as therein set forth sworn before E.
