Georgianna Williams wife of Benjamin Williams of Howard County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof I William Cooke do hereby acknowledge and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Georgianna Williams wife of Benjamin Williams his heirs executors administrators and assigns one negro woman named Lavenia Mitchell aged fifty years and a slave for life which said negro woman is now in the possession of Georgianna Williams To Have and To Hold the said negro woman Lavenia Mitchell above bargained and sold unto said Georgianna Williams wife of Benjamin her heirs administrators and assigns all and singular the said negro woman unto said Georgiana Williams her heirs administrators and assigns and will forever warrant and defend against all persons whatsoever by these presents In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this twenty second day of October Eighteen hundred and Sixty Witness J G Worthington
